Liverpool, Arsenal to claim Premier League victories on double derby Sunday?
Another profitable midweek for the column with our treble and banker bets obliging to take us back into the green for the season. There's a huge weekend of action in the Premier League coming up with the Merseyside and north London derbies and Manchester United's trip to Southampton.
Running total: +£9.74
Predicting the outcome of a Manchester United game this season has been a tough gig for punters. They've beaten teams they were expected to lose handily to (see Juventus in Turin) and lost to teams they were expected to beat (see Brighton at the Amex). This weekend they head to Southampton and should be backed to see off a Saints side who've shipped 10 goals in their last three games. Southampton lost a crucial relegation six-pointer to Fulham last time out so confidence could be low and the visitors should have enough quality to claim another win at St Mary's. The Red Devils are 5/6 for the win but given Jose Mourinho's side have conceded 21 goals themselves this season it could be worth taking 3/1 about a United win and both teams scoring.
The First Goal Flutter
Liverpool face Everton this Sunday and are heavy odds on to win this particular battle of Merseyside. Mohamed Salah, who has hit six goals in his last eight games, heads the first goal scorer betting market but James Milner looks big at 10/1. The veteran has scored four already this season and is first-choice penalty taker for the Reds. He also has a 100 percent strike rate from the spot this season.
Selection: £2 on Milner to score first at 10/1 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble
Tottenham have had the better of Arsenal in recent seasons but the Gunners look a bet at 6/4 to win Sunday's north London derby. Spurs have endured a taxing week having already battled against Chelsea and Inter Milan and, while any side containing Harry Kane cannot be ruled out, Arsenal's impressive home form under Unai Emery could be the deciding factor here. As stated, Manchester United (5/6) can be trusted to see off a Southampton side who are stuck in the bottom three and bereft of confidence, while Crystal Palace (11/20) can finally get things back on track by beating Burnley at home. Palace have been struggling but the fixture list has not been kind in recent weeks and Roy Hodgson should have them revved up for the visit of Burnley, who looked truly hopeless against Newcastle last time out. The threefold with bet365 is paying just over 6/1 and looks tasty.
Selection: £2 on the treble at 6.1/1 with bet365.
The Euro Wager
PSV Eindhoven look head and shoulders above every other team in the Eredivisie so you won't see them quoted at odds against too often domestically this season. This weekend they head to De Kuip and should have too much firepower for a Feyenoord side who's form has been a bit erratic so far.
Selection: £4 on PSV to win at 11/8 with bet365.
The Wildcard Tip
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can be backed at 100/30 to score first for Arsenal against Spurs and doubling the Gabon striker with Anthony Martial (6/1) to score the opener for Manchester United at St Mary's gives punters a first goalscorer double with bet365 paying just shy of 30/1. Martial has hit seven goals already for United and has been one of the few consistently solid performers for Jose Mourinho.
