Liverpool can beat Manchester City, back Bayern to beat Ronaldo-less Juventus
The bookmakers got it spot on by making Manchester City betting outsiders against Borussia Dortmund as Ppe Guardiola's men limped to a 1-0 ICC defeat at the weekend. They get a chance to make amends though when facing Liverpool in the same competition in the early hours of Thursday morning, and we fancy goals in New Jersey.
Running total: +£24.21
Liverpool and Manchester City the two favourites to win the Premier League this season in the eyes of the bookmakers, clash at the MetLife Stadium this week in the International Champions Cup. A huge crowd is expected in New Jersey and they could be in for a treat. Pep Guardiola's City smashed their way to the title last season, clocking 100 points as they won 32 of their 38 Premier League games. Liverpool, however, beat them three times in 2018 and Jurgen Klopp has not been messing about in the transfer market this summer, making Alisson the most expensive keeper ever. The Reds won't be at full strength for this one given Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Marko Grujic only returned to training on Friday, while City will also be missing a few of their star names. Nevertheless it's rarely dull when teams representing Klopp and Guardiola go head-to-head so backing over 3.5 goals with bet365 could be the play.
Selection: £5 on Over 3.5 goals at 6/5 with bet365
The Tasty Treble
Roma beat Tottenham in an ICC thriller in New Jersey last season and the Italian giants could be worth backing again to see off Spurs this week. Mauricio Pochettino has yet to make a significant signing this summer and the north London club go into this without Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier, who are all still taking a break following the World Cup. With this in mind Roma look a decent price at 6/4. AC Milan and Manchester United also clash in ICC action this week, and the draw looks an attractive proposition in that one at 5/2. Jose Mourinho won't be concerned about results at this point of the season, but know he needs to get it right this year after United's 2017-18 campaign fizzled out into a trophyless one. Finally, Dortmund have been excellent so far in the ICC, enjoying wins against Man City and Liverpool, and they can claim a third win on the spin at evens when they face Benfica. Backing that little lot in a treble with bet365 pays 16.5/1 and looks worthy of a small interest.

The Wildcard Tip
With their expensive new signings and their vibrant front three, Liverpool (who are 4/1 for the Premier League) will feel they can give Manchester City a real argument this season. And the Reds might be worth backing to strike a psychological blow by beating Pep Guardiola's side in New Jersey. City looked well below par as they lost to Borussia Dortmund last time out so odds of 13/5 on Liverpool winning and both teams scoring look tempting.
The Bookie Basher
New signing Cristiano Ronaldo won't feature when Juventus face Bayern Munich, and so it could pay to back the Bavarian giants in Philadelphia. The Niko Kovac era at Bayern got off to a flying start as they beat PSG 3-1 in Austria on Saturday, and they might be a bit too sharp for Juventus, who are playing their first preseason game of the summer here. A 2-0 win for Bayern is a 12/1 shot and might be the way to bet given Juve are resting a host of star names in attack.
