Tottenham to cure woes with UCL win? Man United to beat CSKA?
Nabbing Liverpool and Everton to win, plus Spurs to draw with Watford in a treble, ensured a weekend of profit for the column and, for the final time in 2017, focus now switches to the Champions League, including Manchester United's Group A clash with CSKA Moscow.

The Home Banker
Despite winning their first four Champions League games, the Red Devils are not assured of passage to the round of 16 just yet, but boss Jose Mourinho knows a positive result against CSKA Moscow will see them progress. Mourinho's men ran out 4-1 winners in Moscow earlier in the season when Romelu Lukaku scored twice in a game United dominated. This is not a vintage CSKA side, and they are currently seven points off the pace in their domestic league. Defensively they were awful first time round against Mourinho's men and, having scored seven in their last two games, United look good to win this by more than a goal.
The Tasty Treble
The draw looks a big runner at 12/5 when Manchester City head to Shakhtar Donetsk this week. City have already wrapped up top spot in the group and while they would be joining a select group of teams to have collected maximum group stage points in the Champions League era with a win, Pep Guardiola will no doubt have one eye on the forthcoming Manchester derby. If you back the draw alongside Napoli (who know a win against Feyenoord could see them progress from Group F alongside City) and Manchester United both to win you have a treble paying in excess of 5/1 with bet365.
The Euro Wager
Celtic face a crunch clash against Anderlecht knowing if they avoid defeat by three goals they will qualify for the Europa League. There has been some money for the Belgian side over the past few days but it's hard to ignore how poor they looked when the Hoops won 3-0 there earlier in the season. Goals could again be on the agenda in Glasgow and Celtic should be full of confidence following their 5-1 weekend demolition of Motherwell.
The Wildcard Tip
Tottenham's Premier League campaign has imploded after a series of poor results but they are still going well in Europe and can round off a memorable Group H campaign by putting Apoel Nicosia to the sword at Wembley. A 3-0 result on offer at 6/1 with bet365 and not beyond the realms of possibility given the gulf in class between these two teams.
The Bookie Basher
PSG suffered their first defeat of the season in Ligue 1 at the weekend but remain the clear betting favourites to win this season's Champions League. They have claimed maximum points from five matches so far and could be worth siding with to beat Bayern Munich away. The Bavarian giants are not the force of old and PSG to win the match after conceding first could be worth a play at 9/1.
