Real Madrid to beat Tottenham? Manchester City to come back vs. Napoli?
A look ahead to another huge week of European action including Tottenham's crunch clash with Real Madrid. Be sure to click back later in the week for our profit and loss total for the season so far.
The Home Banker
Tottenham face a daunting trip to the Bernabeu on Tuesday as they take on Real Madrid in what looks the tie of the evening. Spurs didn't look totally convincing at the weekend as they laboured to a 1-0 win over Bournemouth and will need to bring their 'A' game to the Spanish capital as they go head to head with the reigning European champions. Both teams have 100 percent records in Group H so something has to give and the feeling is Los Blancos may have too much quality on home soil for Mauricio Pochettino's men. Cristiano Ronaldo was back among the goals at the weekend and the Portuguese legend can fire Madrid to victory here.
The Tasty Treble
There are plenty of short price bets on the midweek Champions League coupon and it could pay to back Liverpool, Juventus and CSKA Moscow in a roll up. The Reds should have few problems away to Maribor while Juve have a fabulous European home record and can breeze past Sporting Lisbon in Turin. CSKA face a crucial clash with Basel in Group A but the Russians can be trusted to get the job done on home soil against Basel, who are notoriously poor travellers.
Selection: £3 on treble at 13/10 with bet365.
The Euro Wager
Anderlecht have lost both their opening Group B fixtures and, as a result, are as big as 20/1 at home to beat PSG. That price may tempt some but the French giants should be way too good here and backing a 3-0 away win could be the way to go in Belgium.
Selection: £1 on PSG to win 3-0 at 6/1 with bet365.
The Wildcard Tip
Manchester City face a real test of their European credentials when they face Serie A leaders Napoli. The Italian outfit have won all eight of their domestic matches so far and have the players to trouble City defensively. You can get 7/1 about Pep Guardiola's men winning the match after conceding the first goal and that could be worth a play at the Etihad, where the hosts can sometimes be slow starters.
The Bookie Basher
Sergio Ramos has weighed in with numerous crucial goals for Real Madrid down the years and the Spanish defender is 14/1 to score first against Spurs. He's already scored in the Champions League this season and is always a threat from set pieces.
Selection: £1 on Ramos to score first at 14/1 with bet365.
