Arsenal to suffer at Chelsea, Mkhitaryan to see United past Everton

The Exploding Heads delve into the often overlooked aspect of football, the mascots and their emotions.

The column returned a tidy profit in midweek largely thanks to napping an 11/1 winner in the shape of Liverpool to draw 2-2 with Sevilla in the Champions League.

Running total: -£35.44

Here's a look at the best bets ahead of the weekend ...

The Home Banker

Arsenal have a woeful recent record at Stamford Bridge and on form you would have to make Chelsea big favourites to win Sunday's Premier League clash. The Gunners were ripped apart in their biggest test of the season to date when losing 4-0 against Liverpool and they have lost two out of two on their travels so far this season. Chelsea should also be the fresher side given they played Qarabag on Tuesday, with Arsenal involved in Europa League action two days later against Cologne.

Selection: £4 on Chelsea to win at 3/4 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble

Burnley have had some great recent results at Anfield and while another away win might be beyond them they should be backed to score against a Liverpool defence who are leaking goals with alarming regularity. The Reds have shipped eight goals in just four Premier League matches to date and both teams to score looks a lock at 19/20.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield have made a bright start to life in the top flight but could find Leicester City too strong on Saturday. The Foxes have had a tough start to the season against the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal but look good at 13/10 with bet365 to beat the Terriers. Add Manchester United at 2/5 to beat struggling Everton on Sunday and you have a treble paying better than 5/1.

Selection: £2 on the treble at 5.27/1 with bet365.

The Euro Wager

Paris Saint-Germain have started their season in scintillating form and while the world record signing of Neymar has made all the headlines, it is the acquisition of young French prodigy Kylian Mbappe that could prove a real masterstroke. The Parisian giants face Lyon at home on Sunday and the deadly Mbappe could be the man to get with at 15/4 to score first.

Selection: £2 on Mbappe to score first against Lyon at 15/4 with bet365.

The Wildcard Tip

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been excellent so far and the Armenian could be worth siding with to get on the scoresheet against Everton. The Toffees have only scored two goals in four Premier League games and are clearly missing the goal threat of former striker Romelu Lukaku, who has hit the ground running since moving to Old Trafford.

Selection: £1 on Mkhitaryan to score anytime and Manchester United to win 2-0 at 12/1 with bet365.

The Bookie Basher

Few are anticipating a classic ahead of Saturday's clash between Crystal Palace and Southampton. The Saints have failed to score in three of their four Premier League games so far while Palace have lost all four games to nil, a run of results that cost Frank de Boer his job. Southampton have also failed to score in their last two trips to Selhurst Park so backing the 0-0 here at a tempting 15/2 looks the way to go.

Selection: £1 on No Goalscorer at 15/2 with bet365.
