Betting: This week's friendlies

Roma beat Liverpool 1-0 on Wednesday night and will face Louis van Gaal's Manchester United next.

AC Milan have some new players, another new manager and even though it's pre-season, that combination means there are points to prove when they play their friendly matches over the next month or so. Filippo Inzaghi has a job on his hands to get the Rossoneri playing well but the former striker lives and breathes Milan and will give it everything.

Milan play Olympiakos in the early hours of Friday morning and even though it's in New York, so removing home advantage, they should have a little too much nous for the Greek side. Mario Balotelli and Robinho will offer the firepower but don't be surprised if goals are at premium. Milan are not a team full of goals right now and Olympiakos should find the Italians' defence fairly sound, so the 19/20 with Bet365 there are two goals or fewer looks reasonable as does the 17/20 on Milan to win the match.

Manchester United slammed in seven in their first match under new manager Louis van Gaal but they should find Roma more difficult than LA Galaxy. Roma edged out Liverpool 1-0 with a late goal in their first pre-season match in the States and they will fancy their chances against United when the two meet in Denver on Saturday.

Roma defend well and are generally a very decent unit but it will be interesting to see how playing at altitude affects both sides. Altitude usually means goals -- with midfielders particularly affected -- and in pre-season, those deficiencies leave big gaps at the back. Bet365 make it 17/20 there are three goals or more and with van Gaal looking to make United attack with a renewed vigour, goals should be on the cards.

Milan are in action again on Sunday, this time against Manchester City, and this one will be a combination of the Italians being used to conditions and the English side being that bit fresher. Expect it to be cagey and Bet365's offer of 13/5 on the draw looks the bet to go for.
