LIVE Transfer Talk: Manchester United to include Jesse Lingard in Jadon Sancho deal?

The January transfer window might seem like a distant memory, but that doesn't mean the rumour mill has shut down! Speculation over summer moves is heating up, so check out the latest gossip below, and see all official deals here.

TOP STORY: Lingard key in Sancho move to Man United?

Borussia Dortmund are looking to move for Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard, which could be key in United's efforts to land Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

The Sun reports that the German side's interest in Lingard has piqued since a successful loan spell at West Ham United where he has been involved in 13 goals in 13 league appearances since joining in January.

United remain interested in signing Sancho this summer and sources have told ESPN that Dortmund would consider offers of €100 million. However, the inclusion of the €25m-rated Lingard would bring down that cost significantly, despite the midfielder having only one year left on his contract at Old Trafford.

Sancho has returned to his best form this season and has been involved in 19 goals in 24 league appearances. He also helped his side secure the DFB Pokal trophy on Thursday, scoring twice in a 4-1 win.

Sancho and Lingard have both recently been a part of Gareth Southgate's England squad and could link up again at Euro 2020 this summer.

21.25 BST: Manchester United have made contact with the representatives of 25-year-old Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri, according to AS, with a view to reinforcing the Red Devils' midfield behind Bruno Fernandes. Atletico Madrid are also keen on the Uruguay international, whose contract includes a €25m buyout clause.

20.32 BST: An update on some earlier news in the day: David Luiz will leave Arsenal when his contract expires at the end of the season, sources have told ESPN's James Olley. The 34-year-old attended a meeting with senior figures at the club on Friday, which concluded without an extension to his existing agreement. Read the full story.

19.39 BST: Mundo Deportivo writes that Barcelona could begin the process of pushing 14 players out of the club this summer, including the likes of Neto, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Miralem Pjanic, Matheus Fernandes, Martin Braithwaite and Philippe Coutinho.

18.46 BST: Three months after signing 19-year-old right-back Bryan Reynolds from FC Dallas, AS Roma have decided that the United States international will leave the club on loan this summer, Gazzetta dello Sport reports, with 21-year-old Nuno Tavares of Benfica targeted as a replacement.

17.53 BST: Barcelona are out to strengthen their forward group this summer, according to Marca, and while Erling Haaland would be a dream addition, the report suggests that signing him is unlikely to be financially feasible. That's where Alexander Isak comes in, with the 21-year-old Real Sociedad front man -- and former Borussia Dortmund prodigy -- said to be a far more economic solution.

17.00 BST: Chelsea are looking to upgrade this summer.

16.03 BST: The Daily Mail says that centre-back David Luiz will leave Arsenal this summer.

Luiz, 34, joined the Gunners from Chelsea in 2019 but has enjoyed mixed reviews. His contract expires at the end of the season and he has informed the club he won't sign a new one, with Lazio and various MLS clubs showing an interest in signing him.

15.55 BST: Will Jesse Marsch's move to RB Leipzig open doors for American coaches? It's complicated, writes Jeff Carlisle.

The most notable aspect of Jesse Marsch being hired as manager of RB Leipzig is how unsurprising the appointment was. Marsch has been inside the Red Bull soccer family for six years, from the New York Red Bulls to his position as an assistant with Leipzig to the managerial post at FC Salzburg and now back to Leipzig, this time as the boss.

While other candidates like VfL Wolfsburg's Oliver Glasner were in the frame, it would have been something of an upset had Marsch not gotten the job given the success he's had at Salzburg, which could end with a second consecutive league and cup double. Marsch's relationship with Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff -- the two are reportedly good friends -- didn't hurt either.

Yet the excitement within the U.S. soccer community is beyond palpable. The move is being viewed as the latest sign that the U.S. is gaining influence on the world stage, this after several American players -- from Christian Pulisic at Chelsea to Weston McKennie at Juventus -- have established themselves at some of the world's biggest clubs. Now the question is when American coaches will get the same opportunities.

15.30 BST: Lille manager Christophe Galtier could walk away from the Ligue 1 title-chasers this summer, with sources telling ESPN's Julien Laurens he is keen to manage in England.

French sides Lyon and Nice are keen to hire Galtier -- whose side lead PSG at the top of Ligue 1 by three points, with two games left to play -- with former Dortmund boss Lucien Favre or ex-PSG and France manager Laurent Blanc potentially lined up to replace him at Lille.

Galtier's move could be one of up to 13 managerial changes in Ligue 1 in the coming weeks, which would set a record in the division.

14.00 BST: Will the new RB Leipzig coach bring one of his American stars with him?

13.10 BST: Ajax are exploring the option of re-signing Brian Brobbey from RB Leipzig before he has even arrived at the Bundesliga side.

Brobbey's contract expires in June, and he decided against extending his time with Ajax in favour of joining Leipzig on a free transfer next season. He signed a contract through to 2025 back in March, but reports suggest he is now getting cold feet on the move after manager Julian Nagelsmann agreed to join Bayern Munich.

Sources told ESPN that the chance to work with Nagelsmann helped persuade Brobbey to sign for Leipzig. But with Nagelsmann now leaving, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed the club are looking into whether it is possible to re-sign Brobbey from Leipzig.

When asked on Thursday after their 3-1 win over VVV-Venlo whether he would like Ajax to explore a transfer for Brobbey, Ten Hag said: "I would like to. I indicated it to [director of football] Marc [Overmars], who is also working on it."

When asked whether the move was likely to happen, Ten Hag said: "I don't know if it is possible. I have talks with him about that but he hasn't spoken out loud he wants to stay here and I understand that since he just signed there. He's not even there yet and I don't know if Leipzig is open to that."

12.45 BST: The Independent reports that Arsenal have no interest in keeping midfielder Dani Ceballos at the end of his loan spell.

Ceballos, 24, has been on loan at the club from Real Madrid for two years but hasn't set the world alight. Madrid are open to letting him leave permanently, as they look to raise funds for bigger signings, but the Gunners have more pressing needs.

The report states: "It's understood Ceballos will not stay at Arsenal beyond the summer with neither a third loan nor a permanent transfer likely."

12.27 BST: Lyon defender Joachim Andersen has done well on loan at Fulham this season and could stay in the Premier League.

Andersen, 24, was one of Fulham's best players in spite of their relegation but has no long-term future in France.

The Evening Standard reports that the Denmark international, who has been linked with a £20m move to Tottenham and Arsenal, is "happy in London and would like to remain in the top-flight, joining a club competing in Europe next season."

12.02 BST: Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is in talks with both Manchester United and Liverpool over his future.

Varane, 28, looks set to leave Madrid this summer as his contract expires in 2022. The Frenchman wants a new challenge and Madrid are happy to do a deal for around €65m.

The Manchester Evening News reports that "United are one of a number of clubs, among them Liverpool, holding dialogue with Varane's camp as he approaches the last year of his Madrid contract."

11.36 BST: Manchester City are trying to sign Sporting CP left-back Nuno Mendes, says A Bola.

Mendes, 18, is highly rated and could be available for around €60m, as the Portugal international has impressed City boss Pep Guardiola and sporting director Txiki Begiristain with his performances this season.

Any deal could see Pedro Porro added, given he is on loan at Sporting from City with a €8.5m option to sign him permanently this summer.

11.04 BST: What would happen if Juventus were to let Cristiano Ronaldo go?

10.15 BST: The Sun claims that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be handed £150m to improve the squad this summer.

Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chelsea seem willing to spend and put £220m down on a host of players last summer.

Tuchel has guided the club to the FA Cup and Champions League finals and is set for a financial reward as he builds a title challenge next season.

Most of that will likely go on a reliable striker, with the report claiming: "The Stamford Bridge outfit have been monitoring Erling Haaland's situation at Borussia Dortmund and also keeping a close eye on their former striker Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan."

09.37 BST: Manchester United believe they lead the chase to sign Jadon Sancho this summer if they can agree a fee with Borussia Dortmund, having overcome hurdles including personal terms and agent fees a year ago, sources have told ESPN's Rob Dawson.

Finding a broad agreement with Sancho and his representatives proved a stumbling block during the last summer transfer window with significant progress not made until early September.

However, sources have told ESPN that United hope those talks will give the club a head start if the 21-year-old leaves the German side ahead of next season.

There is a belief at Old Trafford that Dortmund are willing to let Sancho leave this summer and that the asking price will be significantly lower than the €120m demanded 12 months ago. Sources have told ESPN that Sancho remains keen to return to the Premier League after four seasons in Germany. Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked with the former Manchester City youngster.

09.00 BST: As Paris Saint-Germain await a response from Kylian Mbappe on whether to accept the club's offer to extend his deal beyond 2022 or leave the Ligue 1 giants this summer, sporting director Leonardo has a list of potential replacements which includes Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, sources have told ESPN's Julien Laurens.

Salah, 28, has two years left on his contract and has 21 goals and four assists in 33 Premier League matches this season.

However, having been at Anfield for four years, PSG are hoping that the Egypt international would be open to a new chapter in his career, particularly if Liverpool fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.

08.30 BST: Italian coach Massimiliano Allegri's entourage has denied any contact with Real Madrid, according to El Larguero.

Allegri, 53, has been out of a job since parting company with Juventus in May 2019. Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has a contract until June 2022 but has remained coy about his future. But speculation that Madrid have approached Allegri to sound out his availability for next season has been vehemently denied by the Italian's entourage.

Allegri revealed earlier this year he had turned down an offer to coach Real Madrid in the summer of 2018. The former AC Milan coach is also considered the main candidate to replace under-fire Andrea Pirlo at Juventus.

PAPER GOSSIP

- Barcelona are planning to throw everything they have to bring Dortmund striker Erling Haaland to the club. Spanish outlet Sport is reporting that the club have met with the player's agent, with the deal looking to cost no less than €125m this summer. The 20-year-old has been linked with a number of Europe's elite clubs and while Dortmund have said they won't let Haaland go this summer, the right offer may tempt them due to a €75m release clause which comes in next season.

- Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their interest in Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, reports AS. The 35-year-old is out of contract in the summer and he and Madrid are no closer to reaching an agreement, the current offer being a year extension and a 10% wage decrease. The report says that the experienced central defender would prefer to stay and retire at the Bernabeu, but the choice of PSG remains open if an agreement is not met with Madrid president Florentino Perez.

- AS Roma are looking to sign Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio this summer, according to Calciomercato. New manager Jose Mourinho has a shortlist of experienced shot stoppers he wishes to add to his ranks during the window, says the outlet. Portugal international Patricio tops the list with Gladbach's Yann Sommer, Juve's Gianluigi Buffon and soon-to-be free agent Sergio Romero on there, too. The 33-year-old Patricio could be available for €8m-€10m with his contract expiring next year.

- Juventus are plotting a move for Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli. Tuttosport reports that Andrea Pirlo's side are looking to add the Italy international to their ranks, with discussions between the two clubs ongoing for the past few months. The 23-year-old has been ever-present for Sassuolo this season, having joined two-years ago from AC Milan.

- Speaking of AC Milan, they are hoping to extend Brahim Diaz's loan from Real Madrid for another season, according to Spanish outlet Marca. The 21-year-old is said to have impressed the Rossoneri hierarchy, but his parent club don't wish to let him go for another season, despite plenty of options in the attacking midfield area. The Spaniard has scored two in his last two for Milan, doubling his tally to four in the league in his 25 Serie A appearances.

- Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle are in a battle to sign defender Abdul Mumin from Portuguese team Vitoria. The 22-year-old would cost a reported £15m, according to The Sun, with all three sides looking to add a young defender to their ranks this summer. The Ghanaian joined last summer from Danish side Nordsjaelland and has made 23 league appearances, impressing sides with his technical ability.
