The coronavirus pandemic has made the transfer market uncertain, but there was still plenty of action on Deadline Day. With the window closed across the major leagues in Europe, you can check out the latest major completed transfers across the globe.
TOP STORY: Big 2021 planned for Real Madrid
AS reports that Real Madrid have delayed some of their 2020 plans to next year following the closure of the summer transfer window.
The belief is that the financial health of the club is far more important than the improvement of the playing squad, which means that several of their planned transfers have been put off.
With a handful of Madrid players aged 30 or older, it makes sense for the club to move on as and when they can, with Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga and Napoli playmaker Fabian Ruiz two of their primary targets.
PSG striker Kylian Mbappe is still on the agenda as well, with his contract running down in 2022, but the 21-year-old Frenchman would still cost a hefty sum in excess of €150m.

22.26 BST: Busy times at West Ham!
With winger Felipe Anderson leaving for Porto on loan on Tuesday, reports are swirling that West Ham could sign a Championship ace to replace the Brazilian in London. The Evening Standard's Jack Rosser has learned that the Hammers are now likely to target Brentford winger Said Benrahma, who has also been linked with Crystal Palace and Arsenal.
One of the top players in the Championship last season with 17 goals and nine assists, the Algerian is not expected to stay in the Championship for another season and thus will most likely be moved before the Oct.16 domestic deadline.
21.49 BST: Could Ousmane Dembele be England-bound come January?
AS reports that the club are furious with the Frenchman after he refused a move on Deadline Day, and will look to offload him -- and countryman Samuel Umtiti -- in January. The report adds that Dembele could struggle for game time under new manager Ronald Koeman, and that both's futures could depend on the vote of confidence for president Josep Maria Bartomeu's.
Man United were thought to have interest in Dembele during the recently closed window.
21.01 BST: West Ham have been tipped to move for ex-Man United and ex-Liverpool striker Danny Welbeck.
Former Hammers striker Frank McAvennie tells Football Insider that he has heard that West Ham are trying to sign the oft-injured 29-year-old, who was recently let go by Watford. The former England man scored two goals in 18 games for the Hornets but was released after Watford's relegation due to his high wages.
West Ham currently have Sebastian Haller, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio as striker options.
20.23 BST: With the domestic deadline open until Oct.16, Premier League strugglers West Brom are still looking to bolster their attack.
Bournemouth's Josh King is a target for the Baggies, the Sun writing that Albion are in talks with the South Coast side regarding the £10-million rated Norway international. WBA have also been linked with Huddersfield's Karlan Grant but talks over the 23-year-old have reportedly broken down.
19.51 BST: Rangers made it past the European deadline with Alfredo Morelos still a member of the side but are they all the way clear yet?
The Daily Record reports that Qatari side Al Duhail are still interested in bringing in the Colombian before the QSL's deadline of Oct. 25th. The 24-year-old, who has scored 82 goals in 149 games for Gers, reportedly turned down a £13 million move to Qatar earlier this summer.
With his European options now closed and Al Duhail's links to PSG, could Morelos elect to join Mario Mandzukic and Medhi Benatia in the Gulf State?
19.07 BST: San Jose Earthquakes and United States midfielder Jackson Yueill is staying put.
The 23-year-old has signed a multi-year extension with the Quakes, which will keep the defensive midfielder under contract past the 2022 World Cup. Yueill, who has seven caps to date for the USMNT, has made 80 appearances for San Jose, scoring four goals and adding 10 assists.
18.36 BST: Nottingham Forrest have a new manager in Chris Hughton and they could soon have a new winger...
According to Sky, Hughton is keen to bring Fulham winger Anthony Knockaert to Forest, having earned promotion with the Frenchman at Brighton back in 2017. Having signed with Fulham on a permanent basis this summer for £10 million, Knockaert has yet to appear for the Whites in the Premier League this season.
Hughton signed Knockaert from Standard Liege in 2016 -- the winger going on to score 27 goals in more than 130 appearances during their time together on the South Coast. Forest, who had eyes on promotion entering the season, currently have zero points through four games.
17.43 BST: Jack Wilshere was a casualty of deadline day, the oft-injured midfielder having his contract at West Ham terminated by mutual consent.
Still just 28, there is time for the former England man to resurrect his career -- if he can stay healthy -- and Italian journalist Nicola Schira suggests that might be under Steven Gerrard at Rangers.
"Former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder Jack #Wilshere is in advanced talks with #Rangers. They can sign him as a free-agent," Schira tweeted. Rangers, who have qualified for the Europa League and are trying to prevent Celtic from winning a 10th straight SPL title, would be an interesting landing spot for the ex-Arsenal man.
17.06 BST: Man United landed their top left-back target in Alex Telles but what if a deal for the Brazilian had fallen through?
Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano revealed that United had lined up Chelsea's Emerson Palmieri as Plan B, if they were unable to sign Telles from Porto. United will be thrilled to have landed Telles, who last season scored 13 goals and chipped in 12 assists from left-back!
16.32 BST: Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United had a great deal of interest in Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa during the summer window.
United contacted his agents but Chiesa wanted to stay in Italy and eventually signed a two-year loan deal with Juventus that could see him move permanently for €50m.
15.50 BST: Mesut Ozil's situation as a player at Arsenal looks uncertain, but does he have future doing something else?
15.00 BST: United States U-17 international and Orange County SC goalkeeper Aaron Cervantes has been transferred to Scottish Premiership side Rangers FC, the player confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Carlisle.
Cervantes, 18, has spent the last three seasons with OCSC in the USL Championship in the second tier of U.S. soccer system. He made his debut as a 17-year-old on March 23, 2019 in a league match against New Mexico United.
The goalkeeper made a total of 18 league and cup appearances with Orange County, a spell that was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. He was also part of the U.S. side that took part at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, though he didn't get on the field during that tournament.
14.46 BST: Manchester United failed to sign any of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's priority targets during the summer transfer window, sources have told ESPN's Mark Ogden.
United completed their transfer business on deadline day on Monday by sealing deals for Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri, having secured the £40m signing of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek at the beginning of September.
But sources have told ESPN that Solskjaer went into the transfer window having drawn up a shortlist of targets including Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish and a commanding centre-back, with RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano and Bournemouth's Nathan Ake his preferred options to partner captain Harry Maguire at the heart of United's defence.
None of the subsequent summer signings were players identified by Solskjaer and his coaching staff as key targets, although sources said that the manager was consulted on every new arrival and that he sanctioned each deal before being completed, including that of Van de Beek, who has yet to start a Premier League game for United.

14.12 BST: West Ham spent a club-record £36m on signing Felipe Anderson from Lazio in 2018 but he's now moved to FC Porto on loan.
"On one hand I'm sad for not helping the team as I would like, but on the other hand I'm happy to have a great opportunity to play for Porto," he told TalkSPORT. "I'm very motivated and playing for Porto is a great opportunity for me.
"When I came to West Ham I had a goal and it's frustrating, but I understand that everything can change, with the coronavirus these times are so weird and I lost my space at the club.
"I know I have a lot to show, so I think it was the right decision for both sides for now. I have a contract with with West Ham, so next season I'll be here and I need to do my best to be back stronger."
13.45 BST: Manchester United have sought clarification on UK government quarantine rules before they can determine when new signing Edinson Cavani can make his debut and train with his new teammates, sources have told ESPN's Rob Dawson.
The 33-year-old is one of four players who joined the club on deadline day on Monday, after signing a two-year deal at Old Trafford and is eligible to make his United bow against Newcastle on Oct. 17 following the international break.
However, as Cavani travelled from Paris to Manchester on Sunday, he is subject to the UK's COVID-19 quarantine rules and could be asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
12.53 BST: Liverpool had themselves a good transfer window, if not a good start to their Premier League title defence.
12.17 BST: Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is facing a vote of no confidence and could be ousted before the end of the year after a motion to have him removed from his position gathered more than the required 16,500 verified signatures.
The Mes que una Mocio campaign was launched in August, the day after Lionel Messi sent a burofax to the club saying he wanted to leave.
Presidential hopeful Jordi Farre, who filed the petition against Bartomeu, said that the Messi situation was the tip of the iceberg and accused the president and Barca's board of directors of years of mismanagement.
Over 20,000 members had signed the motion by mid-September, but they needed to be verified by a commission put together by the club before passing to the next stage.
11.40 BST: West Ham offered Chelsea an odd incentive in a potential loan deal for defender Fikayo Tomori, says TalkSPORT.
Tomori, 22, ended up staying at Stamford Bridge to fight for his place but West Ham were reportedly willing to offer them £50,000 every time he didn't play.
Let's hope that kind of offer doesn't catch on.
11.25 BST: Ousmane Dembele has had his head turned by Juventus, according to Catalunya Radio. The Barcelona forward's proposed move to Manchester United failed to materialise this week but the speculation surrounding his future has not disappeared.
With his contract up in 2022, Juve would be in a strong position next summer if they made a move for Dembele. Or, per the report, the France forward may even sit on his contract at Camp Nou for the next two years before leaving for free.
11.01 BST: Who won the transfer window?
10.13 BST: Barcelona failed to secure the signings of Manchester City's Eric Garcia and Lyon's Memphis Depay before the transfer window closed on Monday but they remain targets for January, according to SPORT.
Garcia and Depay will both be available for free next summer when their contracts expire but Barca don't want to wait that long.
The Catalan club loosely agreed a price with Lyon for Depay and personal terms with the player, but financial restrictions prevented them from finalising the deal. Local reports say La Liga wouldn't let them register the Dutchman as it would have seen them exceed their wage limit.
Garcia, meanwhile, was prepared to take a wage cut to re-join Barca from Manchester City, per Mundo Deportivo, but the two clubs could not agree a fee. Barca will return in January, when they hope a lower offer will help the deal over the line because City face the prospect of losing the Spain international for free otherwise.
09.32 BST: Former Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao is back in football after 513 days without playing a game.
Coentrao, who's still just 32, has returned to Portugal's Rio Ave, saying "it's good to be home" after signing a one-year deal for his fourth spell at the club where he began his career.
The left-back -- who spent seven years at Real Madrid, including loan spells at Monaco and Sporting Lisbon -- last featured for Rio Ave in 2018-19, making 23 appearances in all competitions, before taking a year off.
08.59 BST: Manchester United's new striker Edinson Cavani revealed to ESPN's "90 Minutos" about the possibility of playing one day for Boca Juniors.
Cavani, 33, joined United on deadline day having been a free agent following his Paris Saint-Germain contract expiring in the summer. Argentine giants Boca had been strongly linked with signing him before he made the move to Old Trafford.
"I signed a two years contract with Manchester United. I want to give my all here," he said. "I feel well. The day I return to South America it's not going to be when it's all over. I'm realistic and I want to play while I feel well. I play these next two years and I will see if I continue or if I return to South America."

08.27 BST: Atletico Madrid are angry with Thomas Partey for the way his last-minute deadline day move to Arsenal was conducted, sources have told ESPN's Rodrigo Faez and Alex Kirkland.
Partey, 27, joined the Premier League club on Monday night after they paid his €50m buyout clause.
Atletico said they were informed by La Liga at 11.28 p.m. Spanish time -- just over half an hour before the transfer window closed -- that Arsenal's representatives had been at their Madrid headquarters that evening to exercise the player's release clause.
Sources told ESPN that Atletico were "resigned" to Arsenal's actions rather than being upset by them.
08.00 BST: PSV Eindhoven have reached a deal with Germany's 2014 World Cup final hero Mario Gotze, the Dutch club announced on Tuesday.
Gotze, 28, was photographed earlier on the day in Eindhoven, sparking interest on social media. The two parties reached a swift agreement after the transfer deadline shut at midnight in the Netherlands. Gotze signed a two-year deal.
"We had some nice talks and I seriously considered making a move to the Netherlands," said Gotze in a statement. "I had a lot of offers this summer but I am a man of feeling and make my own decisions. I feel I am ready for a very different challenge and I am confident that this should be a very comfortable transition for me."
Gotze is a marquee signing for PSV, who sit in second place this season in the Eredivisie and are in the Europa League group stage. He was a free agent after having left Borussia Dortmund in May and had been linked with a number of clubs over the summer including Hertha Berlin, AC Milan, AS Roma and Lazio.

Inter Milan open Martinez talks
Internazionale have opened contract talks with Lautaro Martinez after his Barcelona move didn't come to fruition, Calciomercato reports.
The Argentine's current deal is set to expire in June 2023, but the belief is that both parties are willing to agree to an increase, considering the interest from the Spanish giants.
The 23-year-old is still valued as an important member of the squad, and though Inter might have been resigned to his leaving a few months ago, it no longer seems as if that's going to be the case.
Giroud considers Chelsea future
Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has admitted that he will be considering his Blues future in January.
In the leadup to France's international friendly against Ukraine, in which Giroud will win his 100th cap for Les Bleus, the 34-year-old confirmed that though he is willing to fight for his place in the starting XI, he's also prepared to reevaluate his situation when the next transfer window opens.
"I've written a book called 'Always Believe It,' so I'm not going to go anywhere without a fight," Giroud told reporters. "There is competition, but I will fight, and we saw the rewards of that at the end of last season. I am convinced that I have a role to play at Chelsea. We will see in January."

The youngster looked set to make his way back to Saint-Etienne on loan for the remainder of the season before the deal fell through, but with the domestic-only transfer window still open, the Gunners are contemplating the possibility of sending him down into England's second tier.
-- Sydney FC striker Adam Le Fondre is close to sealing a move to the Indian Super League, according to the Herald Sun. The former Reading star has scored 39 goals in 57 appearances for the Sky Blues but appears headed for the exit following the news that the A-League is looking to reduce the competition's salary cap next season.
