          Neymar and Mbappe lead PSG in mocking Haaland celebration

          Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland clearly upset PSG, and Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in particular, but they got their revenge on Wednesday night.

          Paris Saint-Germain advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals 3-2 on aggregate with a 2-0 second-leg victory over Borussia Dortmund at an empty Parc des Princes stadium, but it was their celebrations that drew the most attention.

          Haaland had scored twice in the first leg and celebrated his second by pretending to meditate. After the first leg, the 19-year-old revealed why he adopted a 'zen' pose.

          "I really enjoy meditation," Haaland told Esporte Interativo. "It makes feel calm and gives me tranquillity. This is why I sometimes celebrate like that when I score."

          Then, before the second leg, the Norwegian striker made the mistake of riling PSG by posting a Snapchat from his hotel room declaring the French capital to be "his city."

          So PSG decided to get their own back in the only way they know how ...

          Neymar was the first to kick things off with a subtle dig after he had scored with a well-placed diving header from an Angel Di Maria cross following a corner kick.

          But things got progressively less subtle after the game. The whole PSG squad made it clear what the intention was.

          With Mbappe getting involved on social media afterwards too.

          Neymar, with his own in-house graphic design team in tow, stuck another knife in, with reference to Haaland's social antics.

          The mockery then continued on social media as PSG's official account made light of a wry message posted by Dortmund following the first-leg result with a pithy little message of their own.

          Despite not being allowed into the stadium, around 3,000 ultra fans turned up in the midst of a ban of gatherings of more than 1,000 people as French authorities try to contain the coronavirus, and defender Presnel Kimpembe showed off the Haaland celebration to them.

          It wasn't long before the rest of the PSG players appeared on the balcony and stirred their supporters into a frenzy -- with Neymar, Mbappe and Angel Di Maria leading the cheers. What iconic imagery this is.

          Safe to say they enjoyed that one.

          Adebayor sees red for 'Jackie Chan' tackle

          Former Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City and Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor made his Copa Libertadores debut on Wednesday night and went on to make a flying start in the competition.

          The 36-year-old striker was making his first appearance for Paraguayan club Olimpia Asuncion, for whom he signed on a free transfer in February after leaving Turkish club Kayserispor.

          Starting up front alongside fellow Premier League alumni Roque Santa Cruz in a group stage tie against Defensa y Justicia of Argentina, Adebayor sadly failed to find the net.

          However, he did manage to get himself sent off in the 72nd minute for leaping into the air and kicking a defender square in the neck.

          We believe the word to describe that kind of start is "inauspicious."

          Olimpia went on to win 2-1 with 10 men on the pitch, leaving Adebayor to apologise for his "Jackie Chan" challenge and subsequent premature departure on Twitter after the match.
