Chelsea smash Arsenal in Beijing, Coutinho on song for Liverpool

Michy Batshuayi scored twice as Chelsea hammered Arsenal 3-0 at the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing on Saturday in a Chinese edition of the London derby.

Willian broke the deadlock before Batshuayi doubled Chelsea's lead in the 42nd minute. He then curled in a long-range effort shortly after the break to show new signing Alvaro Morata that he intends to fight for the main striker's role next season.

The only negative for Chelsea was Pedro having to come off in the first half, looking dazed and groggy after being sandwiched between Ainsley Maitland-Niles and David Ospina when trying to get on the end of a long ball over the top.

The London sides, who also played each other in the FA Cup final in May, will square off again in the Community Shield at Wembley in two weeks.

In Hong Kong, Mohamed Salah scored and Philippe Coutinho put in a man-of-the-match display to help Liverpool lift the Premier League Asia Trophy after a 2-1 victory over Leicester City.

Coutinho showed no signs of distraction after Liverpool rejected an approach from Barcelona earlier this week by scoring a wonderful match-winning goal, as well as claiming an assist at the Hong Kong Stadium.

In a 55-minute outing, the Brazil international played a perfectly-executed through ball for Mohamed Salah's 20th-minute equaliser after Islam Slimani's opener, before netting the winner with a trademark strike moments before half-time.

In the third-placed game, Crystal Palace beat West Brom 2-0 with goals from Luka Milivojevic and Bakary Sako, though Palace boss Frank de Boer raged that the Baggies targeted Wilfried Zaha.

Neymar showed exactly why Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay his €222 million buyout clause to wrestle him away from Barcelona this summer with two stunning goals in his side's 2-1 International Champions Cup win over Juventus.

He was Barca's best player as the Ernesto Valverde era began with a win. Fed by Lionel Messi, Neymar exchanged a neat one-two with Paco Alcacer before bending the ball brilliantly around Gianluigi Buffon to open the scoring.

That was good for a starter, but what followed 11 minutes later was sublime. Another precision pass from Messi set him free but there was still a lot to be done. Not too much, though, as Neymar glided inside from the left, leaving four Juve defenders on the floor with a variety of stuttering skills before beating Buffon again.

Giorgio Chiellini bagged a consolation goal for the Serie A champions, who gave debuts to Rodrigo Bentancur and, for the final half-hour, Douglas Costa.

Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld scored a pair of long-range screamers to help Tottenham Hotspur to a 4-2 win over 10-man Paris Saint-Germain in the ICC.

Edinson Cavani gave PSG an early lead that was quickly overturned by Eriksen wonder goal and Eric Dier's fortunate second, though Javier Pastore soon brought the game level again at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp was sent off in the first minute of the second half for handling the ball outside his box, but Spurs were frustrated until Alderweireld struck in the 82nd minute, and Harry Kane added a late penalty.

In Belgium, Wayne Rooney scored his second preseason goal for Everton in their 1-1 draw with Genk.

He produced a neat first-time finish at the back post just before half-time following a cross from Sandro Ramirez and later took the captain's armband when Leighton Baines left the pitch.

New £30 million goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made his first appearance for Everton, as did Sandro, and kept a clean sheet before being replaced by Maarten Stekelenburg, who conceded the equaliser to Ally Samatta.

Patrick Cutrone scored twice as AC Milan stormed to a 4-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup in China.

Summer signing Franck Kessie opened the scoring in Shenzhen for the Serie A side after 14 minutes, converting a loose ball in the area into the back of the net. Cutrone then added a second for Milan 11 minutes later, before making it three just before the break.

Hakan Calhanoglu then completed the scoring for Milan five minutes before the full-time whistle, finding the bottom corner of the net with a strike from outside the area.

Christian Pulisic scored the equalising goal in the 86th minute as Borussia Dortmund rallied for a 2-2 draw with Bochum.

The second-tier club appeared headed for a win until Gonzalo Castro got a goal back on 85 minutes, and a minute later the ball went in off Pulisic's chest to level the score.

Another United States international was also on target as Alfredo Morales scored in Ingolstadt's 2-0 win over Nantes.

Monaco suffered a 2-1 defeat against Sporting, whose goals from Bruno Fernandes and Bas Dost lifted the Lisbon club despite Guido Carrillo's late consolation, while Florian Niederlechner's strike handed Freiburg a 1-0 win over Feyenoord.

Bournemouth won 2-1 at Portsmouth with goals from Lys Mousset Benik Afobe, but the game was marred with the announcement that a fan died after taking ill at half-time.

Andre Gray's hat trick guided Burnley to a 3-0 win over Alfreton Town, while Charlie Austin scored twice for Southampton in a 2-2 draw with Brentford, Etienne Capoue's late goal gave Watford a 1-0 win over Eibar.

Hull City beat Benfica 1-0 with Jarrod Bowen's strike, though Michael Dawson managed to get himself sent off.

Among newly promoted Premier League sides, Newcastle shared a 1-1 draw with Preston as Aleksandar Mitrovic scored, Steve Mounie had the only goal as Huddersfield Town beat Barnsley, and Brighton romped to a 6-0 win over Crawley Town.
