I have an offer from a Chinese club - BFC's Miku

BFC striker Miku on a possible move to China and being away from family.

After a stellar first season in the blue of Bengaluru FC, Venezuelan forward Miku is unsure if he is going to continue his Indian adventure.

"I have an offer from a China club," Miku told ESPN after Bengaluru were beaten 3-2 in the final of the Indian Super League (ISL) on Saturday. "The club (BFC) don't want to sell me. Two times, two different clubs from China (have approached me). I understand they want me here but I need to think of my family, of my future."

Miku has been a vital cog in Albert Roca's team that topped the league stages and helped BFC reach the final in their maiden ISL season. But after ending the league as the team's top-scorer with 15 goals, he termed it as "a disappointing end."

"When you finish the league in first position and eight points clear of the second team and after you lose the final, the season is a worse season," he said.

BFC have already seen Spanish midfielder Edu Garcia sign for Chinese Super League team Zhejiang Lucheng this season for an undisclosed fee, a deal that made them the first Indian club to earn a fee from a foreign club for the transfer of a player.

"The clubs they pay me six or seven times more than here," Miku said of the offer from China. "If they (BFC) need to keep me, they need to do something to increase my budget. But it's not time to think in that, it's time to finish the season, but my management and my manager need to work on that."

"I'm still young. I have come to this league to enjoy this country, but in the end I am here alone. My family is in Spain. For me that's the worst thing here because I'm alone. I don't want to be alone more so we need to change a lot of things to continue here."

However, Miku says he is fully focused on the Super Cup, a knockout tournament with 16 teams that starts from March 31 in Bhubaneswar. Without a slot in the AFC Cup at stake in the Super Cup, there's little to play for BFC, but Miku says he's looking forward to it. "Now we need to take rest. The Cup is in 11 days, so we need to prepare for that."
