Romelu Lukaku having 'fun' with Roberto Martinez's attacking Belgium

Romelu Lukaku said he's having "fun" with Roberto Martinez's attacking set-up after Belgium dominated Estonia 8-1 in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

In their four games of the qualifying campaign under Martinez, Belgium have scored 21 goals while conceding just once, with lopsided scorelines of 3-0, 4-0 and 6-0 before Sunday's result.

The Red Devils already had six on the scoreboard by the time Lukaku joined in by delivering the last two goals to complete the rout, and the forward said he was enjoying his football under Martinez, for whom he previously played at Everton.

"How much was it again -- 8-1, really?" Lukaku said on VRT. "The team was really good and it's fun to play in such an offensive team.

"We did well in possession and created many chances. We did a good analysis of the [1-1 friendly] match against the Netherlands, where we should have done much better.

"We have scored eight times and this is the standard we should try to keep to in the next games.

"The fans come here to see a great game and that was the case. They want to see us play like our clubs and that's what we have done, so everyone is happy."

Martinez credited Lukaku for opening up the game for his teammates before finding the net himself.

"Romelu has a lot of strength and always attracts attention in the middle," Martinez told Sporza. "As a result, [Dries] Mertens and [Eden] Hazard had more space. The cooperation between the three was quite good.

"If Lukaku gets a look at the target, his finish is always pure. His goals are a reward for his work."

Martinez took Hazard off in the second half after the Chelsea star took a kick to his calf, but the manager confirmed that the player was not seriously injured.
