Former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has agreed to join Club Brugge from bottom of the table Cercle Brugge on an 18-month deal.
Gudjohnsen, 34, could make his debut against his former club next weekend if his deal - subject to a medical - goes through as expected.
He said he was "honoured” by his move across the Belgian city, adding: “I am very pleased with my transfer to Club Brugge.
“I am honoured that they wanted me to join them, and I look forward to helping the team compete for prizes. I wish Cercle Brugge all the best in the remainder of this season.”
Club Brugge currently lie fourth in the Jupiler Pro League with 39 points, 13 behind the leaders, Anderlecht, but 25 clear of Cercle.
