Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge called criticism of Robert Lewandowski "ridiculous" on Monday and insisted the striker will not be leaving this summer.
Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but Bayern have repeatedly said the Poland international is not for sale.
The striker's focus was called into question last week after he missed a number of chances to score against Madrid in the Champions League semifinal first leg, but Rummenigge rubbished such claims.
"It's ridiculous," Rummenigge told reporters before Bayern deprated for the second leg in Spain. "I find this discussion ridiculous, like everyone in the club thinks so as well. He scored 39 goals so far again this season and we're happy that he plays at our club and also will play at Bayern next season as well. He's a scoring machine."
Lewandowski had scored in his previous three games -- one goal each in the Bundesliga against Borussia Monchengladbach and Hannover, and twice in the DFB Pokal against Bayer Leverkusen.
Rummenigge continued: "I remember in the past with Gerd Muller, for example, who holds records not only at Bayern but also in the whole of Germany, he also had eight to 10 matches without a goal, but then there are other matches where you score again twice or three times. I wish for [Lewandowski] that tomorrow will be such a day."
Rummenigge also rejected inquiries about reports of Lewandowski's subpar performances in training.
"I don't watch training sessions like other managers do," he said. "Our head coach is responsible for that and he said that he [Lewandowski] trains very well, so everything's OK."
