Carlo Ancelotti: Bayern Munich more like a family than a business

Carlo Ancelotti says he feels very much at home at Bayern Munich and is revelling in the "family" atmosphere at the German champions.

Ancelotti, who has won major honours with Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, has said the working environment at Bayern is unique.

Speaking at the launch of "Carlo Ancelotti - The Autobiography" in the Bavarian capital on Monday, Ancelotti said: "There are clubs that feel like a business and those that feel like a family. It's like a family here."

And Ancelotti is already buying into that side of the club, by employing his son Davide, 26, as one of his assistant trainers -- the first father-son coaching duo in Bundesliga history.

Referring to Bayern's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, a former Inter Milan forward, and an opponent of Ancelotti's during his own playing career, he added: "For the first time, I'm at a club with a president who was a footballer himself. I'm not sure if I ever fouled him. I'll ask him tomorrow."

Ancelotti signed a three-year deal with Bayern this summer following his sabbatical after leaving Real Madrid. Ancelotti guided the Spanish giants to La Decima, their 10th European Cup in 2014, but his inability to retain the Champions League the following season led to his dismissal.

Just a few months into his stint in Munich, Ancelotti said he's keen on an extended stay but it would not be solely his decision.

"I'd like to stay longer than two years at Bayern," he said. "I stayed at Chelsea for two years, in Paris for one-and-a-half [years] and then I went to Madrid.

"Sometimes it was my decision to leave, like in Paris, sometimes it was out of my hands."
