Renato Sanches training with Bayern Munich ahead of Bundesliga opener

Bayern Munich have been handed a boost after Renato Sanches started training with the Bundesliga champions.

Sanches, who turned 19 last Thursday, starred for Portugal at Euro 2016 as his nation claimed glory against hosts France, although he picked up a thigh injury in the final that ruled him out for up to four weeks.

Bayern confirmed on their official website that the midfielder is training with his teammates ahead of their season opener with Werder Bremen on Friday.

Sanches signed for Bayern from Benfica for an initial €35 million in May and is tipped for a bright future.

The German club also announced that Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa, Holger Badstuber and Jerome Boateng trained individually as part of their respective comebacks.
