Sebastian Rode wants Bayern Munich stay despite Wolfsburg reports

Sebastian Rode is happy at Bayern Munich and has no plans to leave the club amid reported interest from Wolfsburg.

Rode, 25, joined Bayern on a free transfer from Frankfurt in April 2014 and he has since made 35 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga champions.

The midfielder impressed for Pep Guardiola's side when coming off the substitutes' bench, although his opportunities in the side were increased by injuries to Philipp Lahm, Javi Martinez and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Rode is already looking ahead to the 2015-16 season, telling kicker: "Our prospects [for the new season] aren't that bad. We all have an extensive break, will be ready for a good preseason, and the coach has already named our goals for next year."

Reports in the Wolfsburg media had linked Rode with a switch to the Volkswagen Arena, but the midfielder has dismissed the speculation.

He said: "Nobody got in touch with me. I am very happy at Bayern, and also nobody at the club is interested in sending me on a loan or selling me."
