Arjen Robben hopes to make Bayern Munich return vs. Borussia Dortmund

Arjen Robben hopes to return for Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal match against Borussia Dortmund on April 28.

Robben, 31, sustained an abdominal muscle injury in late March, and has been sidelined since.

The Netherlands winger has been one of the stars of the Bundesliga season so far, scoring 17 goals in 20 starts Bayern.

He currently tops the prestigious kicker ranking for the best-graded player in the league.

Robben has already been ruled out for the upcoming two legs in the Champions League quarterfinals against Porto, but he hopes to return for the final run-in of the season.

The winger has set his sights on the DFB Pokal semifinal against Borussia Dortmund as a possible game for his comeback.

"That's my hope," he told Bild. "And that's why I am proud of this team that they beat Leverkusen [in the penalty shootout of the quarterfinal.] I also hope that we'll advance against Porto. Then it looks much nicer for me too."

"Everything runs smoothly. I am under way again," he said, describing his abdominal injury as extraordinary painful.

"I ride the bike, will start running again soon. We'll do it reasonable, but also work hard for my comeback. I can't exactly when that will be."
