Gomez 'happy' to play in Italy

Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez has opened the door to a move to Serie A after admitting he would welcome the chance to play in Italy.

Mario Gomez added a second with a goal that seemed to put the game beyond Stuttgart's reach
Bayern striker Mario Gomez admitted he would like to play in Italy.

The German international score 19 goals in all competitions as the Bavarian giants claimed a historic treble.

But with new Bayern manager Pep Guardiola officially unveiled on Monday, rumours have begun to rise that Gomez could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena.

And the 27-year-old increased the speculation by casting an eye towards the Serie A.

“Would I play in Italy? I’d be very happy to do that, I’d like it a lot,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
