Bayern want new deals for trio
Bayern Munich want to extend the contracts of Franck Ribery, David Alaba and Toni Kroos as they plan ahead following the destruction of Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
Bayern general manager Matthias Sammer intends to ensure that the trio stay at the club beyond the end of their current deals in 2015.
“Franck will help us for a long time to come,” Sammer said. “He is a part of FC Bayern”.
Kroos, meanwhile, is reportedly ready to sign a new contract until 2018.
The Bavarians, runaway Bundesliga champions, have already signed Borussia Dortmund star Mario Gotze and FSV Mainz defender Jan Kirchhoff for next season.
They are also poised to sign Dortmund’s Polish star forward Robert Lewandowski and Eintracht Frankfurt's Sebastian Rode.
Both those transfers are all but done, kicker reports, with the only question remaining whether they will join Bayern in the summer or on free transfers in 2014.
Daniel van Buyten, Claudio Pizarro and Anatoly Tymoshchuk are also out of contract in the summer, and are yet to discover what the future holds for them.
Tymoshchuk could leave, kicker believes, but the other two may yet extend their contracts for another year.
