Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink hails 'complete' Tottenham Hotspur team

LONDON -- Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has said he believes Mauricio Pochettino has built a "complete team" at Totteham Hotspur.

Hiddink said he was impressed with the "calmness" that Pochettino had brought to Spurs.

The North London side travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday hoping to still be in with a chance of their first league title since 1961.

They will be out of contention if Leicester City win at Manchester United on Sunday, while the Foxes will also become champions if they lose and Chelsea win.

Pochettino -- who agreed an extension to his contract on Friday -- has been widely praised for his work at White Hart Lane, and Hiddink said: "They are having a very good season.

"I respect very much the work that Mauricio is doing at Tottenham, in a very calm way, and it shows in the team.

"I've seen many matches, and they play in a way I like to see a team play, which is attractive. He is doing a very good job.

"They have shown, this year, a run of stability. The way they play is a way for success. They have a very good balance in their team, defensively well organised and a very strong urge to attack.

"It's a complete team and, though I'm Chelsea, I've seen them play this season and I enjoyed it very much."

Hiddink said the news that Spurs had extended their manager's contract was "good for them" and added; "If this is the club's strategy, it brings clarity and calmness to the team."

Chelsea captain John Terry has recovered from an Achilles injury in time to take his place in the squad for the Spurs game, while Gary Cahill will also return after illness kept him out of last Saturday's win at Bournemouth.

"They both participated in training this week," Hiddink said. "It's good to have them back for a tough and exciting game."
