Wilfried Zaha doesn't mind if Manchester United fans boo him

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has said that returning to his former club Manchester United for the first time will be like "playing at any other stadium" and he is not worried about being booed.

Zaha will return to Old Trafford with his current club on Wednesday night when the sides meet in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old signed for Palace from United on a permanent basis in February 2015, having already been sent there on loan twice and earlier started his career at the club.

He was the final signing made by Sir Alex Ferguson before the former United manager retired, arriving from Palace for £15 million in January 2013, but the move did not work out for him.

Zaha told the Croydon Advertiser: "My time at United has gone and I don't mind if I get booed.

"I still have Man United followers on Twitter. They might wait until I make a mistake in a game or something, and they'll come out with something like 'that's why you got sold.'

"I just think you're either following me or you don't. That stage when I was at Man United has gone now and I'm a Crystal Palace player.

"I am just trying to progress in my career, so going back to Old Trafford will be like playing at any other stadium. I am just going to do my best as usual."
