Claudio Ranieri and Harry Kane win Premier League awards for March

Leicester City's Claudio Ranieri and Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane have won the Premier League Manager and Player of the Month awards for March respectively.

League leaders Leicester were unbeaten last month, drawing once and winning their other three games to tighten their grip on the title.

The Foxes began March with a 2-2 draw at home to West Brom before beating Watford, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace all 1-0.

Ranieri, who also won the monthly prize in November, will take his side to Sunderland this weekend, boasting a seven-point lead at the summit.

Spurs striker Kane, meanwhile, scored five goals in the month of March to maintain his second-placed side's pursuit of the title.

Kane, who is the division's top scorer on 22 goals, was on target in the North London derby against Arsenal before netting braces in wins over Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

Tottenham host Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Sunday with six matches of the season remaining.

"We're just taking it game by game, with Leicester being top, we're the ones who have to keep putting the pressure on and making them slip up, that's all we can do," he told Sky Sports.

"We've just got to go out each game and try and win it. All the focus is on the Premier League now from now until the end of the season.

"Obviously everyone is going to be talking about it, we're excited for it and focused on what we need to do, and we're looking forward to it.

"It's the Premier League, everyone is tuned in, everyone is watching it, and it's great, it's great to be a part of it. Obviously we're going to do our best and hopefully we can go as far as we can."
