Premier League team news: Updates on injuries and suspensions

SATURDAY'S MATCHES

- ASTON VILLA

Gabriel Agbonlahor has been dropped from Aston Villa's squad as they probe pictures of him on holiday. The striker will be left out of the group to face Chelsea by caretaker manager Eric Black after shots emerged of him apparently smoking a shisha pipe in Dubai, which the club are investigating. Adama Traore (foot) and Jack Grealish (ankle) could return, but Libor Kozak (ankle) and Jordan Amavi (knee) remain sidelined.

Provisional squad: Guzan, Bunn, Hutton, Richards, Okore, Clark, Lescott, Richardson, Cissokho, Gana, Westwood, Sanchez, Veretout, Traore, Gil, Sinclair, Lyden, Grealish, Gestede, Ayew

- CHELSEA

Diego Costa is suspended and Eden Hazard is once again out injured. Striker Costa will miss the next two matches following his sending-off in the FA Cup loss at Everton, while Hazard has an ongoing hip and groin problem. Willian, fellow Brazilian Oscar and Burkina Faso forward Bertrand Traore will be assessed following international duty. Alexandre Pato could make his long-awaited debut and Radamel Falcao is back in training.

Provisional squad: Courtois, Begovic, Ivanovic, Fabregas, Rahman, Oscar, Falcao, Pato, Mikel, Traore, Kenedy, Pedro, Remy, Miazga, Matic, Willian, Cahill, Terry, Blackman, Azpilicueta, Loftus-Cheek.

- BOURNEMOUTH

Striker Joshua King and midfielder Harry Arter are doubts. King is suffering from a hamstring injury and Arter has an Achilles problem after being brought off in the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham before the international break which meant he had to pull out of playing for the Republic of Ireland. Long-term absentees Callum Wilson and Tyrone Mings (both knee) have both rejoined training but Mings has suffered a setback, having undergone minor surgery to remove staples from his knee. Cherries manager Eddie Howe does not now believe he will play again this season.

Provisional squad: Boruc, Francis, Cook, Daniels, Smith, Surman, Ritchie, Gradel, Gosling, Arter, Afobe, King, Federici, Iturbe, Elphick, Distin, Pugh, O'Kane, Grabban.

- MAN CITY

Manchester City are without a host of players but welcome back midfielders Kevin De Bruyne and Samir Nasri. De Bruyne (knee) and Nasri (thigh) both return after lengthy lay-offs to bolster a side for whom the latest casualty is midfielder Yaya Toure (knee). Goalkeeper Joe Hart (calf), captain Vincent Kompany (calf), midfielder Fabian Delph (Achilles) and forward Raheem Sterling (groin) are the other absentees. Centre-back Martin Demichelis remains available despite facing a Football Association charge over alleged betting offences.

Provisional squad: Caballero, Wright, Zabaleta, Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Demichelis, Kolarov, Clichy, Fernando, Fernandinho, De Bryune, Nasri, Silva, Navas, M Garcia, Aguero, Bony, Iheanacho.

- ARSENAL

Arsenal could welcome back goalkeeper Petr Cech. The 33-year-old has missed the last five games with a calf problem but may return against the Hornets, with David Ospina likely to drop back to the bench. Manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed Jack Wilshere (leg) and Tomas Rosicky (thigh) are back in full training but will not be involved while fellow midfielders Aaron Ramsey (thigh), Santi Cazorla (Achilles) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) also remain absent.

Provisional squad: Ospina, Cech, Macey, Monreal, Gibbs, Gabriel, Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Bellerin, Elneny, Ozil, Reine-Adelaide, Iwobi, Sanchez, Campbell, Walcott, Welbeck, Giroud.

- WATFORD

Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores has no fresh injury or suspension worries. The club's international contingent returned unscathed from representing their countries and Flores plans to make a decision on his match-day squad after watching the team's final training sessions. Defender Joel Ekstrand, having only recently returned from a serious knee injury, is unlikely to feature despite playing 75 minutes of a Watford Under-21 game over the Easter break.

Provisional squad: Gomes, Britos, Paredes, Holebas, Behrami, Capoue, Watson, Ighalo, Deeney, Abdi, Nyom, Amrabat, Anya, Prodl, Guedioura, Suarez, Pantilimon, Cathcart, Jurado.

- NORWICH

Norwich could welcome back Nathan Redmond. The winger has been missing with an ankle problem, and manager Alex Neil will make a decision on Saturday over whether he is involved at Carrow Road. Steven Naismith (hamstring) is definitely available, while Ryan Bennett is back having sat out the recent win at West Brom.

Provisional squad: Ruddy, Martin, Brady, Klose, Pinto, Howson, O'Neil, Naismith, Jerome, Hoolahan, Rudd, Mbokani, Redmond, Bamford, Mulumbu, Jarvis, Dorrans, Bennett, Bassong, Wisdom.

- NEWCASTLE

Jack Colback will sit out as he starts a two-game ban. The midfielder, who was used as an emergency left-back in the 1-1 draw with former club Sunderland, picked up his 10th booking of the season and is suspended as a result, and with left-sided defenders Paul Dummett (hamstring), Massadio Haidara (knee) and Kevin Mbabu (thigh) injured, manager Rafael Benitez has a decision to make. Goalkeeper Rob Elliot will miss the rest of the season after suffering cruciate ligament damage on Republic of Ireland duty and, with Tim Krul recovering from a similar injury, Karl Darlow will get the nod, but defender Fabricio Coloccini (calf) and midfielders Sylvain Marveaux and Gabriel Obertan are still missing.

Provisional squad: Darlow, Woodman, Janmaat, Taylor, Mbemba, Lascelles, Gibson, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Shelvey, Townsend, Saivet, De Jong, Anita, Gouffran, Aarons, Mitrovic, Cisse, Perez, Doumbia, Riviere.

- STOKE

Stoke have considerable injury problems to contend with. Since beating Watford in their last outing on March 19, the Potters have seen Jack Butland (ankle) and Jonathan Walters (knee) ruled out for the rest of the season and a minimum of three weeks respectively. Ryan Shawcross (back), Marc Wilson and Glen Johnson (both knee) all remain unavailable, Xherdan Shaqiri (thigh) is unlikely to feature and there will be late fitness tests on Glenn Whelan and Geoff Cameron. Erik Pieters is fit to return after his calf problem, and Jakob Haugaard is expected to replace Butland in goal.

Provisional squad: Haugaard, Given, Wollscheid, Cameron, Teixeira, Muniesa, Pieters, Bardsley, Imbula, Whelan, Adam, Ireland, Afellay, Arnautovic, Bojan, Joselu, Crouch, Diouf.

- SWANSEA

Striker Andre Ayew will again be absent. Ayew, who missed the Swans' 1-0 win against Aston Villa, is continuing his recovery from an ankle injury and is on course for a return when Chelsea visit the Liberty Stadium in eight days' time. Elsewhere, Jefferson Montero and Modou Barrow were due back in training on Friday following international commitments with Ecuador and Gambia, respectively.

Provisional squad: Fabianski, Rangel, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Fer, Cork, Routledge, Barrow, Sigurdsson, Paloschi, Nordfeldt, Naughton, Amat, Bartley, Britton, Ki, Montero, Barrow, Gomis, Emnes, Kingsley.

- SUNDERLAND

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has no fresh injury problems. Younes Kaboul has returned to training after limping out of the 1-1 derby draw with Newcastle on March 20 with a calf problem, while fellow central defender Lamine Kone and midfielder Wahbi Khazri have recovered from the minor knocks which prevented them from linking up with the Ivory Coast and Tunisia respectively during the international break. Full-back Billy Jones is expected to be fit after nursing a slight knock, leaving only striker Duncan Watmore (ankle ligaments) on the casualty list.

Provisional squad: Mannone, Pickford, Van Aanholt, Yedlin, O'Shea, Jones, Kone, Kaboul, Brown, Kirchhoff, Cattermole, M'Vila, Khazri, Borini, Rodwell, Lens, Toivonen, Larsson, Defoe, N'Doye.

- WEST BROM

Callum McManaman could be available after making his return from an ankle problem in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Burnley this week. Stephane Sessegnon will be assessed following international duty with Benin, where he scored three goals in two games against South Sudan in African Nations Cup qualifying. Chris Brunt is out until next season with a serious knee injury while James Morrison remains sidelined with a hamstring problem but is closing in on a return.

Provisional squad: Foster, Myhill, Olsson, Chester, Dawson, Gamboa, Pocognoli, McAuley, Evans, Yacob, Fletcher, Gardner, Sandro, Pritchard, McManaman, McClean, Sessegnon, Berahino, Rondon, Anichebe, Lambert.

- WEST HAM

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic will hope the recent international break has not taken its toll on his squad. Enner Valencia, Cheikhou Kouyate and Victor Moses all racked up the air miles and returned to training on Friday -- but there is good news for Bilic as James Tomkins is fit following a calf problem. The game comes too soon for fellow defenders Sam Byram - out since February with a muscular injury - and James Collins (hamstring), but both are progressing well.

Provisional squad: Adrian, Randolph, O'Brien, Ogbonna, Tomkins, Cresswell, Oxford, Noble, Kouyate, Song, Obiang, Moses, Lanzini, Payet, Antonio, Valencia, Carroll, Emenike, Sakho.

- CRYSTAL PALACE

Crystal Palace will assess the fitness of Yohan Cabaye, Mile Jedinak and Emmanuel Adebayor. Midfield duo Cabaye and Jedinak and striker Adebayor all returned from international duty carrying knocks. Connor Wickham (adductor), James McArthur (ankle) and Marouane Chamakh (hip) are still recovering from injuries.

Provisional squad: Hennessey, McCarthy, Speroni, Ward, Kelly, Dann, Delaney, Hangeland, Mariappa, Souare, Lee, Jedinak, Ledley, Zaha, Puncheon, Bolasie, Cabaye, Mutch, Campbell, Adebayor, Sako, Gayle.

- LIVERPOOL

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino faces a late fitness test on a hamstring injury. Striker Christian Benteke has been ruled out with a knee injury sustained on international duty, but compatriot Divock Origi has overcome a thigh problem picked up while away with Belgium. Midfielder James Milner returns from suspension while defender Alberto Moreno is back in training after a hamstring problem.

Provisional squad: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Milner, Coutinho, Lallana, Sturridge, Ward, Flanagan, Toure, Skrtel, Allen, Ibe, Ojo, Firmino, Origi.

- TOTTENHAM

Toby Alderweireld has recovered from a stomach bug. Alderweireld has overcome the illness he picked up on international duty with Belgium and Harry Kane has been cleared to play without a face mask he has been wearing for a broken nose. Erik Lamela took a knock while training for Argentina and is a doubt, while Jan Vertonghen and Clinton Njie are both still regaining fitness following knee problems.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Walker, Trippier, Davies, Rose, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Carter-Vickers, Winks, Dembele, Mason, Dier, Carroll, Eriksen, Onomah, Lamela, Son, Chadli, Kane.

SUNDAY'S MATCHES

- LEICESTER

Jeff Schlupp is a doubt for Leicester's game against Southampton with a knee problem. The utility player suffered the injury on international duty with Ghana and could miss out when the Saints come to the King Power Stadium on Sunday. Boss Claudio Ranieri has no other injury worries although Matty James is unlikely to feature as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury which has kept him out for almost a year.

Provisional squad: Schmeichel, Schwarzer, Simpson, Morgan, Moore, Fuchs, Huth, Gray, Dyer, Wasilewski, Schlupp, King, Kante, Inler, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Albrighton, Vardy, Ulloa, Okazaki.

- SOUTHAMPTON

Southampton striker Shane Long is doubtful. Long scored from the penalty spot in the Republic of Ireland's 2-2 draw against Slovakia on Tuesday before going off with a knee problem, so will be assessed after training on Saturday. Saints manager Ronald Koeman has no other injury concerns.

- MAN UNITED

Bastian Schweinsteiger will miss Manchester United's clash with Everton and almost certainly the rest of the season due to knee ligament damage. The Germany international is joined on the sidelines this Sunday by Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw, who are not yet ready to feature after knee and leg injuries. Phil Jones and Will Keane remain absent, but Ashley Young and Ander Herrera will be hoping to return to the fold after groin complaints.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Darmian, Riley, Rojo, Varela, Valencia, McNair, Borthwick-Jackson, Williams, Fosu-Mensah, Blind, Smalling, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Fellaini, Carrick, Weir, Mata, Young, Lingard, Depay, Martial, Rashford.

- EVERTON

Everton defender John Stones is fit after recovering from a minor knock sustained on England duty. Forward Kevin Mirallas is available after suspension, but midfielder Gareth Barry serves the final game of a two-match ban. Defender Bryan Oviedo is fully fit after a chest infection.

Provisional squad: Robles, Coleman, Jagielka, Stones, Baines, McCarthy, Besic, Lennon, Cleverley, Barkley, Lukaku, Howard, Oviedo, Galloway, Funes Mori, Osman, Mirallas, Deulofeu, Kone, Niasse.
