Merseyside derby set for a Wednesday as Premier League reschedules games

Liverpool will host Everton in a Wednesday Merseryside derby as the Premier League announced an amended fixture list on Tuesday.

The league rescheduled the games that were postponed because of the Capital One Cup final and the FA Cup sixth round.

The first recast fixture will be Newcastle hosting Manchester City on Tuesday, April 19. The Merseyside derby will follow on the next night, April 20, along with West Ham-Watford and Manchester United-Crystal Palace.

Arsenal will host West Brom on that Thursday, April 21.

The league also rescheduled Manchester United's final trip to West Ham's Upton Park for Tuesday, May 10, though it could still be moved again if United reach the Europa League semifinals.

The same could occur for Liverpool's home game against Chelsea the following day, May 11, a Wednesday which will also feature Norwich-Watford and Sunderland-Everton.

The Premier League has yet to reschedule Everton's game at Crystal Palace that was scheduled for April 23, as both teams reached the FA Cup semifinals.
