Midfielder Lucas Leiva has already been ruled out for up to six weeks with a thigh strain.
Emmanuel Adebayor starts for Palace, with Connor Wickham and Wayne Hennessey not fit enough to take their place in the side.
Wickham is suffering with a thigh injury, while goalkeeper Hennessey has been replaced by Alex McCarthy.
