Jordon Ibe hopes to follow Robert Lewandowski path under Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe hopes Jurgen Klopp can help him fulfil his potential, just as he helped Robert Lewandowski reach the top at Borussia Dortmund.

England under-21 international Ibe, 19, has been tipped for success at Anfield and believes Klopp's approach to coaching can help him reach the next level.

Bayern Munich star Lewandowski, who joined Dortmund at 21 years old, recently told FourFourTwo that Klopp made him "a more complete player" and Ibe is aiming to follow in the Poland international's footsteps.

"He obviously did a great job at Borussia Dortmund," Ibe told reporters. "The fact that the young players he brought in were a big part of the success is very encouraging for guys like me.

"Of course, those youngsters at Dortmund didn't just become a little bit better either -- some of them, like Robert Lewandowski, have become players who are operating at the highest level in the Champions League. Hopefully he can help me and some of the lads here do the same.

"I'm hoping my attributes -- pace and strength and being able to go past people -- will suit the way he wants to play and I can get some opportunities."

Klopp also had a notable impact on the development of other stars at BVB including Mario Gotze, Marco Reus, Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan, Neven Subotic, Shinji Kagawa and Marcel Schmelzer.

Ibe, meanwhile, said everybody at the club was "angry" after losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace on Sunday but said it would take time for Klopp to turn things around at Anfield.

"[It's a] new manager, new system, we're just trying to build and keep the confidence in the team," he told the club's official website.

"Obviously losing will have an effect on some players but we just need to keep it going and hopefully we can win the next game.

"As I said, I thought the team did well and we created chances, it's just frustrating not getting the goals. When we get back from international duty hopefully we can work on that and start again."
