Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe will be seeking "feedback" as he claimed Liverpool's winner should have been disallowed and that his side were wrongly denied a goal in their 1-0 defeat.
The promoted club were beaten in their first ever away game in the Premier League and Howe said the manner of it left a "bitter taste."
Cherries defender Tommy Elphick thought he had headed Bournemouth into a fifth-minute lead but referee Craig Pawson penalised the centre-back for a challenge on Dejan Lovren.
And Liverpool striker Christian Benteke then scored the only goal after an offside Philippe Coutinho came close to connecting with Jordan Henderson's cross.
"It does leave a bitter taste for us," said Howe in a news conference. "That is two big decisions going against us."
The rules concerning offside players interfering with play were supposed to have been clarified during the summer.
And Howe said: "It is a clear offside under the new rules. We were sat down by the referees and told about the new rules. Our goalkeeper [Artur Boruc] is clearly impacted by the player [Coutinho] in the middle of the goal.
"If that is not offside, it is the clearest example you will see. I don't think that is a tough one. It is a yard and a half [offside] and clearly impacting.
"I would like some feedback on both decisions. It is a difficult profession but decisions of that magnitude, I don't think either is particularly difficult and you have to get them right.
"It is hugely frustrating after the goal being disallowed. Tommy has won the ball fairly. If that is a foul, there will be fouls given every time the ball goes into the box."
