Premier League fixtures: Man United host Spurs on opening weekend

Manchester United will host Tottenham Hotspur in the pick of the opening round of Premier League fixtures for the 2015-16 season, which begins on Saturday Aug. 8.

United, who have been linked with moves for Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris this summer, beat Mauricio Pochettino's men 3-0 in March but had failed to win any of their five league games against Spurs before that.

Reigning champions Chelsea will host Swansea City while Manchester City travel to West Bromwich Albion, and Arsenal are home to London rivals West Ham United, whose new boss Slaven Bilic will be taking charge of his first Premier League match.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have the chance to gain instant revenge on Stoke City as they return to the Britannia Stadium, where they were thrashed 6-1 on the final day last season.

The Reds also face Arsenal and Manchester United away from home in their first five fixtures as Brendan Rodgers faces a tough start to the season.

Bournemouth -- playing the first top-flight match in their history -- are at home to Aston Villa, while fellow newly promoted side Watford are at Everton and playoff winners Norwich take on Crystal Palace at Carrow Road.

Other noteworthy fixtures for the season include Manchester City hosting Chelsea in the second round of games, while title hopefuls Manchester United and Chelsea will go head to head on Dec. 28, sandwiched in between the Boxing Day and Jan. 2 fixtures.

On the penultimate weekend, Manchester City will welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium.
