Olivier Giroud and Arsene Wenger have won the Premier League Player and Manager of the Month awards for March respectively. Giroud scored five goals for Arsenal in four matches, including a brace in a 2-1 win at Newcastle United. His other strikes came against Everton, QPR and West Ham, to see the Gunners third in the table with eight matches to play. By winning the prize, Giroud prevented Tottenham forward Harry Kane from becoming the first player to secure it three times in succession. Wenger was rewarded for guiding his side to the four straight wins, securing the monthly accolade for a 14th time. Arsenal are next in action Saturday when they host fifth-placed Liverpool at Emirates Stadium.
