Adam Lallana is reportedly set to withdraw from the England squad after the Liverpool midfielder suffered a groin injury against Manchester United.
Lallana was substituted at half-time of Liverpool's 2-1 loss versus United on Sunday, with the former Southampton player replaced by Steven Gerrard who lasted just 38 seconds before being sent off for a stamp on Ander Herrera.
British newspapers report the 26-year-old will undergo a scan on Monday and is likely to be ruled out of England's forthcoming matches with Lithuania and Italy.
England manager Roy Hodgson has already seen Fraser Forster and Luke Shaw pull out of his squad ahead of Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania and their friendly versus Italy next week.
Should Lallana's absence be confirmed it remains to be seen if Hodgson will replace the midfielder, who has 13 England caps to his name.
