QPR coach Chris Ramsey questions penalty decisions in Tottenham defeat

Queens Park Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey felt his side were unfortunate to lose 2-1 at home to Tottenham on Saturday, and questioned a number of penalty decisions that went against his side.

Harry Kane's rise continued his remarkable scoring record this season with a brace to put Spurs two goals ahead at Loftus Road, with Sandro's goal 15 minutes from time not enough for the struggling west London side.

Ramsey helped bring through the likes of Kane and Ryan Mason during nine years at Tottenham, but feels luck was against QPR on the day as Mauricio Isla, Bobby Zamora and Charlie Austin all saw penalty appeals turned away by referee Craig Pawson.

"I think [we] did well again and I know you will probably say that I am saying it every week, but I think if you're a football person you will see the players did apply themselves very well," Ramsey said.

"I just think that when you are playing top teams or any team in the Premier League, you need that little bit of fortune at times just to go your way.

"I think that when you're playing teams like the Arsenals and Tottenhams, they do have that little bit of quality that even if they are not playing well, they may pull something out of the bag."

QPR have now lost their last three league games as they sit 18th in the table -- three points from safety with 10 games remaining -- and while Ramsey may not have had any complaints about his players' application, he echoed those QPR fans frustrated to see a number of penalty appeals rejected against Spurs.

"Sometimes there are decisions that are fine lines, but I think when you're fighting for every point like we are, you have to try to grab on to anything you can," he added.

"Momentum always changes with goals, you know that, so I am very disappointed that we couldn't get at least one of those decisions."
