Frank De Boer not interested in Newcastle job, agent says

Frank de Boer's agent says the Ajax manager will not leave to coach Newcastle this season.

De Boer's name has come up as a favourite to potentially replace Alan Pardew, who has permission to speak to Crystal Palace about their coaching vacancy.

But Guido Albers, De Boer's representative, told Sky Sports that no contact has been made.

"Frank will never leave Ajax during this season," Albers said. "There has been no contact to myself, or Ajax, from another club for Frank. We have received no approach at this stage."

A former defender for Ajax and Barcelona, De Boer has been in charge of the Eredivisie side since 2010.

In April, when he was linked to the Tottenham job, he included Newcastle on a list of teams set to break out.

"I see a perspective at Tottenham Hotspur, just as Liverpool and Newcastle United sometimes are, they are sleeping giants," he said.

Former Palace manager Tony Pulis and current Hull boss Steve Bruce have been linked to the Newcastle job as well.
