Nani uncertain of Manchester United future post-Sporting loan

Nani admits he is unsure if he has a future at Manchester United and does not know what will happen to him after his loan spell at Sporting Lisbon ends.

The Portugal winger has rejoined his former club for the season after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by new manager Louis van Gaal.

And he said he is focused on returning to peak form during his time in his home country before determining where he will ply his trade next year.

He told Sky Sports: "I don't know. At the moment, I just want to enjoy the football, I want to play, I want to be at my best. And then let's see what happens in the future -- but at the moment I am a Man United player."

Nani signed for United from Sporting in 2007 and has scored two goals in seven games since returning to his first club.

The 27-year-old struck 40 times in 229 appearances during his seven years at Old Trafford but United, who signed defender Marcos Rojo from Sporting in August, are paying Nani's wages while he plays for the Portuguese club.

He faced Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday when the Premier League leaders won 1-0 courtesy of Nemanja Matic's first-half header.
