Ugo Ehiogu gets Spurs U21 role

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the appointment of former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender Ugo Ehiogu as their new under-21 coach.

Ehiogu, 41, will be assisted by Matthew Wells, a former Spurs youth player, and moves up from his part-time position as coach of the White Hart Lane under-15s, Spurs said on their official website.

He played 240 Premier League games for Villa, and won four England caps.

Former Spurs captain Ledley King has also been handed an official role with the Tottenham academy, coaching the under-18s on a part-time basis.
