Origi prefers Premier League to Roma

Belgium striker Divock Origi says he is dreaming about a possible move to the Premier League after the World Cup.

Belgian wonderkid Divock Origi has played down suggestions he could join Roma by pinpointing the Premier League as his future destination of choice.

Eden Hazard emerged at Lille and Origi, 19, could be the next star name to hone his talents at the northern French club, where he has already produced some scintillating displays.

No longer a well-kept secret, the Belgium World Cup squad member has awakened the interest of a number of top-grade European clubs, including that of former Lille coach Rudi Garcia, who gave Origi his Ligue 1 debut when the exciting striker was just 17.

However, the former Racing Genk prodigy has told media at his nation's World Cup base camp he is unlikely to be reunited with Garcia in the Italian capital as he would prefer a short hop across the Channel instead.

"To tell you the truth, I dream of playing in the Premier League, but I'm still young and there's time," said Origi, who is reportedly being closely followed by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

"Now, I'm focusing on the World Cup."
