Sandro: Sherwood will leave in summer

Sandro has told ESPN that head coach Tim Sherwood is certain to exit Tottenham at the end of the season, but the midfielder remains unclear over his own future.

De Boer adamant over Spurs

The Brazil international has fallen out of favour under Sherwood, who said after dropping him for the 3-1 win over Fulham last month the Brazilian was "not selected because he's not up to it at the moment." Saturday's substitute appearance in Spurs' 2-0 defeat at West Ham was his first outing since March, but he believes there will be a managerial change once the Premier League concludes on Sunday.

"Sherwood will leave at the end of the season," Sandro told ESPN Brasil, after being left out of Luiz Felipe Scolari's World Cup squad. "Then it's a new coach, a new everything."

Sandro, 25, has been linked with a loan return to Sao Paulo in his homeland but said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would demand a significant fee.

He said: "I know nothing yet, but I'm happy to have my name being discussed in a club the size of Sao Paulo. Anyway, it would be very difficult to leave on loan from here.

"I know that to leave, I would have to be sold, and not for a little. Other teams have come, however, with little money. The president negotiates every transfer -- this was the case for [Gareth] Bale [when he joined Real Madrid last summer]. It is not easy."

The player's agent, Luiz Paulo Chignall, added: "People are waiting for the transfer window to see what happens. In the meantime, he is with Tottenham. Any exit would have to be by transfer."
