Nash to be Norwich Player of Year?

Carlo Nash, Norwich City Player of the Season.

Carlo Nash: In line to be voted Norwich's finest in 2013/14.
Carlo Nash hasn't featured for Norwich this season.

Davitt: Desperate times

It might sound far fetched, given the veteran goalkeeper hasn't actually played a first team game for the club this campaign, but he's leading the voting so far.

That's largely down to a charge from disgruntled fans who vote for the annual Barry Butler memorial trophy, via Facebook, Twitter and mail.

The 40-year-old, who joined from Stoke in the close season, has attracted around 2,000 votes so far on Norwich City’s Facebook page.

He has appeared on the substitutes' bench nine times this season but posted on his own Twitter page that if he were to win he'd “have to graciously decline and of course give it to someone who has earned it.”

The ironic voting hasn't gone done well with some fans though, who see it as disrespectful to the players who have two matches left to try and preserve City's Premier League status.
