The indignities for the esteemed club are stacked high: The club is now assured to finish with fewer than 70 points for the first time since the 1990-91 season; the 2-0 loss to Everton over the weekend confirmed that United will not play in the Champions League next season; and with just four games remaining, there is only a slim mathematical hope of the club even earning a place in the 2014-15 Europa League competition.
