Simon Mignolet: Liverpool have options

Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet insists that Liverpool can cope without Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge as they continue their Premier League title chase at Norwich on Sunday.

Liverpool face the next three games without Jordan Henderson after he picked up a red card on Sunday.

Kelly: Origins of success

Midfielder Henderson is definitely out of the trip to Carrow Road as he begins a three-match ban following his sending off at the end of last weekend's 3-2 victory over Manchester City.

And striker Sturridge is a doubt after suffering a hamstring strain in the same game -- although Liverpool said on Wednesday that they would give him "every opportunity" to recover.

Joe Allen and Lucas Leiva are both contenders to step in for Henderson, while Victor Moses also has a chance of figuring from the start if Sturridge is unavailable.

Liverpool go into the game chasing an 11th successive Premier League win as they bid for their first title since 1990.

And their hopes of winning the league were boosted on Wednesday night as third-placed Manchester City dropped two points in drawing 2-2 at home to bottom club Sunderland.

The excitement is building at Anfield as prospects of a title triumph grow, and Belgium international Mignolet, 26, is sure that injury and suspension set-backs won't derail them.

He told the Liverpool Echo: "I am sure we have a good enough squad to deal with these kind of situations.

"Look at how Joe performed when he came off the bench against Manchester City.

"It was a difficult moment in the game at 2-2. It was tough to be a substitute coming on at that stage but he really helped the team out.

"He did a good job just as Lucas did away to West Ham the week before.

"Victor also helped us when he came on against City -- not only offensively but also in defence.

"The manager has options."
