Tommy Smyth snatched a draw by getting the scoreline correct for Manchester City v Liverpool on Boxing Day evening, so the Rest of the World had to settle for a draw! Now Tommy holds the joint lead with Dale Johnson. Who will lead going into 2014?
One more round left this year, and we welcome to the stage Harry Scrivener who is from Bootle in the north-west of England.
Harry tells Showdown: "I'm a 22-year-old salesman who works for a mobile phone shop in my home town of Bootle.
"I'm a lifelong Everton fan but the nature of the hours I work in the shop means I don't get to go to many games. I'm sure we will bounce back from the shock defeat to Sunderland!"
For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on ESPN FC TV's Tommy Smyth and ESPN FC journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.
Points are then awarded as follows:
- Three points for a correct result and scoreline
- One point for a correct result
After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.
We want your entries for the first weekend of the season - so get your selections in now!
Tommy returns to the top of the table as outright leader with a great performance, holding off Dale for victory.
