Arnautovic future on Stoke agenda

Palace appoint Tony Pulis as boss

Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of Tony Pulis as their new manager.

Tony Pulis left Stoke in 2013 after the club's fans grew restless with his style of play
Pulis has been out of work since leaving Stoke.

• Daly: Spirit of Coppell
• Whittaker: Pulis old boys?

Palace have been without a permanent boss since the departure of Ian Holloway in October following a poor start to the Premier League season.

The club have continued to struggle for form and remain bottom of the table, six points from safety.

Several coaches have been linked with the vacant post -- including Aitor Karanka, Chris Coleman and Dan Petrescu -- but former Stoke manager Pulis recently emerged as the favourite.

And the Welshman, who left Stoke at the end of last season, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at Selhurst Park, ahead of the side's trip to Hull on Saturday.

A statement on Palace's official website read: "Pulis will take charge of the first team following today's game against Hull City, with caretaker boss Keith Millen remaining in the dugout at the KC Stadium.

"Pulis will watch the match against the Tigers from the stands, with his first game in charge of the club coming against Norwich City on Nov. 30."
