Jose Mourinho: We've got best 'keepers

Jose Mourinho has described his two Chelsea goalkeepers as "the best in the world" and said he is not concerned about Barcelona's interest in Thibaut Courtois.

As Petr Cech prepares to make his 300th league appearance for Chelsea against Cardiff on Saturday, the Portuguese described the Czech Republic international as "fantastic" and said his 21-year-old understudy Courtois, on loan at Atletico Madrid, was "the best young goalkeeper" in the game.

Cech arrived at Stamford Bridge in summer 2004 -- the same summer as Mourinho -- and made an immediate impact.

"He came here after Carlo Cudicini had been voted player of the year. He came here very young and, first game, Chelsea against Man United, a clean sheet and the first of his book full of clean sheets," Mourinho said.

"The guy is fantastic. Again, the work ethic is amazing, the way he works and the way he lives. He's a very young goalkeeper at 30.

"I don't think many would disagree that we have the best goalkeeper in the world, and the best young goalkeeper in the world. If someone disagrees, it's not by far.

"Our goal is safe and, financially, we are also very safe. Their value in the market is the value of the best.

"We don't have a problem. Teams without good goalkeepers have the problem. And we have other guys now who are giving us security; [Mark] Schwarzer, [Jamal] Blackman."

Mourinho said Barcelona's interest in Courtois "doesn't worry me", adding: "We control the situation. Not Barcelona, Atletico, another team who are interested in our goalkeepers."
