Squillaci 'not annoyed' with Wenger
Sebastien Squillaci insists he holds no grudge against Arsene Wenger despite his Arsenal failing to lift off.
• Mangan: Wilshere patience
Squillaci, 33, returned to France this summer on a season-long contract with Bastia after three years in north London where he fell out of the first-team frame.
After making 22 Premier League appearances in his maiden campaign having joined from Sevilla in summer 2010, the Frenchman featured in only one more top-flight game in his next two seasons in England.
However, the centre-back told RMC that particular chapter of his career did not necessarily make painful reading.
"I'm not disappointed by my time at Arsenal. I played a lot at the start, less after that. It was difficult, but it was an experience. In sporting terms, it was complicated, but I didn't give up and bounced back.
"I'm not particularly annoyed with Wenger. It's part of the game. It's a big club and there's competition for places. At a given moment in time, I wasn't good. It's now in the past."
