Premier Showdown - Sept 21-22

A superb performance from Tommy Smyth last weekend as he matched the highest score of last season, 13, and pick up another win.

It was tough luck on Dale Johnson who scored 10 points, but Tommy is in such hot form right now that it just wasn't enough.

Representing the ROTW next time out is Grant Becker who is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States.

Grant tells Showdown: "I'm a first year student at Marquette University studying broadcast journalism. I'm 18 years old and I've been a Spurs supporter ever since I began following the Premier League intensely (and I believe that two years from now Spurs fans everywhere will praise Baldini for his work replacing Bale and then some this summer). COYS!"

For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on  ESPN FC TV's Tommy Smyth and ESPN FC journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.

Points are then awarded as follows:
- Three points for a correct result and scoreline
- One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.

We want your entries for the first weekend of the season - so get your selections in now!

No correct scorelines but six correct results send Grant to a fine victory, and Tommy's lead is cut.
