Daniel Agger’s agent has suggested the Liverpool defender is interested in a move to Barcelona as speculation over his future mounts.
Agger, who was praised for his loyalty to the Reds by manager Brendan Rodgers last week, is being hotly pursued in Spain.
Liverpool have already rejected a £14.6 million offer from Barcelona for Agger, but the 28-year-old’s agent Per Steffensen says his client would consider a transfer if a fee can be agreed upon.
"We are aware that Barcelona have made an offer for Daniel that Liverpool have rejected," Steffensen is quoted as saying in the Guardian.
"Daniel has a contract with Liverpool for the next three years and it would be up to the clubs to agree a fee for his transfer in order for that to change."
Liverpool are evidently keen on hanging on to Agger as they pursue Granada's left-back Guilherme Siqueira, who may make a £5 million move as early as this week.
