Agent: Wallace set for Inter switch

Inter head coach Walter Mazzarri is not concerned by their defeat to Chelsea in the International Champions Cup.

Chelsea full-back Wallace is edging closer to joining Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal, according to the player’s agent.

Wallace in action for Chelsea against Singha All Stars during their pre-season tour this summer.
Wallace looks set for a move to Inter Milan.

The 19-year-old signed for the Blues from Fluminense in December, only to be loaned straight back to the Brazilian club before returning to London this summer.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has previously confirmed that the youngster is to spend the coming season out on loan, while Wallace’s representative, Frederico Moraes, said earlier in the week that Inter could be an option for his client.

And now Moraes has revealed that the Brazilian is on the verge of completing a switch to the Serie A club, having already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri.

“We are truly only a step away from completing the deal,” he told FCInterNews. “We are really only a few details away from the transfer. At this point, if all goes well, he should meet up with the team in the United States.

“We were told it was a straight loan but the teams are discussing those terms. Inter have already agreed terms with the player. There’s no problem.”

Inter are believed to be in the market for a wing-back who can fit into coach Walter Mazzarri's 3-5-2 system and have turned to Wallace after missing out on Napoli's Juan Zuniga.
