Reds owner unimpressed by Suarez bid

Liverpool principal owner John W Henry has appeared to take a swipe at Arsenal over their pursuit of Luis Suarez following the Gunners' £40 million bid for the Uruguay striker.

Arsenal returned with a third offer for Suarez on Tuesday having twice been rejected in their approach for the former Ajax star this summer.

Arsene Wenger is desperate to land a high-profile striker and with primary target Gonzalo Higuain on the verge of joining Napoli from Real Madrid, the Frenchman has turned his attention to Suarez.

However, Arsenal's pursuit of Liverpool's prized striker has apparently not been well received by those at Anfield, with Reds chief Henry taking to his Twitter account on Wednesday morning.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make a fourth bid for Suarez, who was Liverpool's top scorer last season with 23 goals in 33 Premier League games.
