Agent: West Ham keen on Ambrosini

The agent of AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini has confirmed the midfielder is in talks with West Ham over a potential move to the Premier League.

Milan revealed on Tuesday that Ambrosini will not be granted a contract extension after 18 years with the Rossoneri.

The 36-year-old's colourful career in Italy will come to an end as he seeks a move abroad, with West Ham now tipped to secure the veteran's signature.

"Obviously Massimo wants to continue," Ambrosini's agent Moreno Roggi told Calciomercato.it. "There are some negotiations in place and we are evaluating every type of proposal.

"His preference would be overseas clubs, but if an offer did come in from an Italian side, we would not ignore it completely. At this moment we are in talks with West Ham, while we have already ruled out Major League Soccer."

Roggi denied Amborisini was left in the dark by Milan, insisting the club made it clear they would not be offering him a new contract.

"We already knew. If Milan had wanted to renew his contract, they would've done it a long time ago," Roggi added.
