Palermo have confirmed the loan signing of Alejandro Faurlin from Queens Park Rangers after the player was given permission for the move on Wednesday.
Faurlin, 26, has been at the London club since 2009 and was one of the last remaining members of the side that lifted the 2011 Championship title.
He made more than 100 appearances for Rangers, scoring five goals, and has joined the Rosanero until June with the Serie A club having an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
A statement published on their official website read: "Palermo Calcio have acquired the rights to QPR player Alejandro Faurlin. The midfielder has moved to Sicily on a temporary basis with the right of redemption in favour of our club."
QPR manager Harry Redknapp has shaken up his squad this month, and Faurlin joins Ryan Nelson, Anton Ferdinand, Djibril Cisse and Rob Hulse in leaving the club.
